Day 4

DRAWING

we painted with gouash today, we did that all class actually, starting with sketching out the male model sitting on a chair with alot of camouflage in the background. what i learned in this class was to paint water colour in layers, here are some pictures i took in between the layers, before the naked man got pissed off at people taking pictures in the room...

in these picture, the 2 pieces of camouflage cloths on the left have been painted

we were told that we did not have to draw the exact prints of the fabric, so heres a picture of how i did the camouflage on the piece of cloth on the man:

here are closer looks at the camouflage that i did using the technique where you build it up layer by layer, letting it dry and painting ontop of the layers. it made it much easier and go alot faster. another tip was to use a big paintbrush when the small one is not needed, for example, the very first layer and the 2nd aswell like the bottom picture:

DESIGN

We started designing our garment, and made a brand called JUANSOFANA! woop!! because the group members arae juan, sophia and anna :)

we made a mood board, or a brainstorm board, wich was a wall we stuck alot of paper on as you can see below:

we have decided that we want to make 2 pieces, pants and a top. We will be working with the theme of opposites, so we will include hard and soft, dark and light, smooth and rough, big and small, thick and thin, and so on on our garment. we also decided we want a special piece of jewelry and glasses as our accessory..i cant wait to see how things turn out!
